We are Proud to Share Kit Carson’s News on the USDA’s New ERA Program Award for their Pathways project. The New ERA Award provides KCEC with $231 million to build a 104 MW renewable energy generation facility that will utilize hydrogen and solar facilities with battery energy storage systems. This project will enhance the resilience of the power distribution system across KCEC’s entire service area. The Pathways project represents a significant milestone in the cooperative’s history and will be the first green hydrogen project undertaken by an electric cooperative in the nation. We at EnerVision and The Ferguson Group (TFG) are thrilled about the successful collaboration that has brought this grant to fruition.
