After completing a part-time college internship with the Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc., located in Texas, she joined the Cooperative full-time as a direct report to the General Manager where she continued to acquire extensive knowledge of cooperatives and the electric utility industry.
For over 13 years, she worked with GVEC throughout various activities and departments and ended her career there as Senior Executive Manager overseeing Corporate Services. Lindsey worked diligently with the LCRA staff and leadership of a newly formed association of LCRA Wholesale customers, the WPA, to begin a push for flexibility in the LCRA’s full-requirements contract and analysis of LCRA costs and allocations between its electric, transmission and water activities.
Lindsey was a member of GVEC’s Strategic Planning Team, and served as President for both the GVEC Charitable Foundation and the GVEC Investment Committee. After leaving GVEC, she joined forces with her husband in the ownership and expansion of Gillum Properties, LLC., where she led efforts in property acquisition, real estate development and management of operating properties.
